Kids Golf Free: Take a Kid to the Course Week takes place this year from July 2-9, 2019. There are hundreds of participating golf courses all across Canada including many in Calgary. Check out the participating courses to see which facility is hosting the program nearest to you. Take time to introduce the game of golf to that special junior

What is Take A Kid To The Course?
Developed by the National Golf Course Owners Association Canada to encourage families and juniors to take up the game of golf, this cross-Canada campaign is designed to illustrate how easy it is to improve both your score and your relationship with your children by bringing them out to the golf course.How can I participate?
HUNDREDS of courses will offer FREE golf to youth under sixteen who are accompanied by a paying adult during the Take A Kid to the Course program beginning July 2nd, 2019.
In addition to free golf, many courses will offer additional programs such as junior clinics, free range balls, free junior club rentals and parent/child tournaments.Simply follow these easy steps to book your tee time today:
- View the Participating Courses page to view the listing of courses in your area.
- Be sure to check any ‘Additional Programs’ they are offering or to check if there are any restrictions on their offer.
- Call the course to book your tee time. Be sure to let them know you are participating in the Take A Kid To The Course program!
- Enjoy your family time and remember to HAVE FUN!

The City of Calgary and Richmond Green Golf Course is celebrating Mother’s Day by offering FREE rounds of golf!
This coming Sunday, May 11, 2014, all nine holes at Richmond Green Golf Course will open for the season, and be free of charge. It normally costs $16 for adult, $12.50 for senior and $11.50 for junior.
If they wish, golfers can make a donation to the Kids on Course subsidy program when they check in at the clubhouse. The non-profit helps low-income children get out on the course, and also offers free programs and golf outings to schools and organizations like Boys and Girls Clubs.
Richmond Green Golf Course is located in southwest Calgary, just off Crowchild Trail near Marda Loop. Richmond Green Golf Course is also the home of family golf. This easy to play 9-hole par 3 course is ideally suited to the beginner player.
The weather on Sunday is forecast to be partly cloudy, with a high of 9°C. You can book a tee time by calling 403-221-3510 or online.

I know this isn’t golf related, but thought it was a good deal that was worth sharing. It’s for a great cause so please support it! As devastating as the floods were, I have never been more proud to be a Calgarian. It was truly inspiring to see the city come together and help one another.
Most of us know someone affected by the floods. My parents family business of over 35 years (Golden Inn Restaurant in Chinatown) was hit by the flood. The restaurant has been closed since and is still weeks away from opening. We have been working long hours cleaning and restoring the restaurant. Here’s a picture of the flood hitting the restaurant.
Cineplex Entertainment will be hosting a FREE movie morning on Saturday, July 20th at all Cineplex theatres in Alberta in support of Alberta Flood Relief!
Regular popcorn and regular fountain drink will be available for only $2 each with 100% of the proceeds donated to the Canadian Red Cross – Alberta Floods Fund.
Doors open at 8:30am with a great selection of FREE movies beginning at 9:00am. Tickets are available at the box office on July 20th.
