Lesson Tee – Practice Your Short Game
A driver is used at most 14 times during a round, and irons will see anywhere from 0 to 12 uses based on the iron. Putters on the other hand see approximately 26 to 34 uses during a regular round of golf.
Most amateur golfers practice drivers and irons, but that doesn’t always equate in lower scores. To see your golf scores drop, practice your putting and chipping before your round. Putters see more than double the amount of strokes as the next club in your bag. So if you are looking to shave 3 to 4 strokes off your game, start on the putting green and just watch the lower scores roll in.
